Cancellation and Refund Policy

Effective Date: February 4, 2025


This Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to all bookings made with Tripatreat Tours and Logistics ("Tripatreat," "we," "us," or "our") for transportation services. By booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Definitions:

"Travel Time": Refers to the scheduled departure time of the trip.

"Processing Charges": May include but are not limited to bank charges, transaction fees, or administrative costs associated with processing the refund.

"No Show": Refers to a client who fails to arrive at the agreed-upon pick-up location within the specified timeframe outlined in Section 3.

"Trip": Any transportation service booked through Tripatreat, including transfers, pick-ups, drop-offs, and tours.

"Lagos Area": For the purposes of this policy, "within Lagos" refers to trips that both originate and terminate within the greater Lagos metropolitan area.

"Travel Date": Refers to the date on which the trip is scheduled to occur.


2. Cancellation and Refund Schedule:


A. Trips Outside Lagos:

Cancellations Made 48 Hours or More Before Travel Time: Full refund, less all applicable processing charges.

Cancellations Made 24 Hours Before Travel Date: 50% refund.

Cancellations Made on the Day of Travel or "No Shows": No refund will be issued.


B. Trips Within Lagos:

Cancellations Made 24 Hours or More Before Travel Date: Full refund, less all applicable processing charges.

Cancellations Made 12 Hours Before Travel Date: 50% refund.

Cancellations Made on the Day of Travel or "No Shows": No refund will be issued.


3. "No Show" Policy for Transfers/Pick-Ups/Drop-Offs:

For transfer, pick-up, or drop-off trips, clients are expected to be present at the agreed-upon pick-up location no later than one (1) hour after the scheduled time. After a one-hour waiting period, if the client has not arrived, the driver will be authorized to leave and return to the office. Such instances will be treated as "No Shows," and no refund will be due.


4. How to Cancel:

To cancel a booking, you must notify Tripatreat in writing (via email to bookings@tripatreat.net) or by phone (08181111023) during our regular business hours [insert business hours]. The cancellation will be effective from the date and time we receive your notification.


5. Refund Processing:

Refunds will be processed within five to ten (5 - 10) business days of the cancellation date. The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the booking, less any applicable processing charges.


6. Exceptions:

Force Majeure: In the event that Tripatreat is forced to cancel a trip due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., acts of God, natural disasters, civil unrest, government regulations, pandemics), we will offer you the option of a full refund or a credit toward a future booking. This does not apply if the client cancels due to force majeure.

Trip Modifications: If Tripatreat needs to modify a trip (e.g., change the pick-up time or location), and you do not agree to the changes, you will be entitled to a full refund.


Third-Party Services: If your booking includes services provided by third-party operators (e.g., hotels, tours), the cancellation policies of those operators may also apply. Tripatreat is not responsible for the cancellation policies of third-party operators.


Special Promotions: Bookings made under special promotions may have different cancellation policies. These will be clearly stated at the time of booking.


7. Amendments to this Policy:

Tripatreat reserves the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically for updates.
